WOMEN’S MARCH & LAND OF GOOD
Vika Kova believes that art can help change mentalities and even societies. The mission of LAND OF GOOD is to bring more awareness about the relationship
between men and women, masculine and feminine and ultimately to find more balance between the genders. LAND OF GOOD introduces a free and safe platform that would
lead to the development of a gender-symmetrical society, by means of the educational power of Art.
Furthermore, Kova addresses some of the SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs), officially known as Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for
Sustainable Development, as an intergovernmental set of aspiration Goals with 169 targets. Kova’s LAND OF GOOD reflects directly upon the sustainability and addresses to
goal 5 - GENDER EQUALITY (achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls). And indirectly
goal 1 - NO POVERTY
goal 2 - ZERO HUNGER
goal 8 - DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH
Because contemporary politics and economics are not really offering any effective or practical solutions - the systems, created by male-driven societies (inclusive feminism),
are jammed by insecurities and confusion - LAND OF GOOD is conceived to be a radiant torch in the grey area of missing links between the United Nation’s “dream” of gender
equality and the realness of people’s lives. Vika Kova shares the principles of Women’s March and the desire to make a difference for
our society. We thank Women’s March Amsterdam who is sharing the event: LAND OF GOOD is one actor of change within a global movement.
To celebrate the longest night of the year, as the symbol of femininity, Kova will project her works, first, on Museumsquare in Amsterdam (NL) to impliment her social expiriment on the random visitors of the square, as well as on the invited guests. As the first (female) video artist, she will invade the space with female touch (without damaging the space) to raise the awareness around the importance of gender-balance in the society. After that the viewers will follow to the solo exhibition of Kova at Vroom&Varossieau Gallery in Amsterdam http://www.vroomandvarossieau.com
Vika Kova's 'Land of Good: sHe" #9 (white cube installation) was selcted to be a part of Art In Motion's "Resistance & Persistance" group exhibition in famous Sanayeh Garden in the hart of Beirut. Art In Motion is an ambitious group of curators that bring the contemporary art to the local visitors of this public park to make art more excessible for the younger generations.
Second year in a row is Kova's work visible at the Beirut Art Fair - this year in monumental size, enchancing the walls of the VIP lounge, hosted by The Selections art magazine.
sHe #4 was represented for the 1st time by Art on 56th gallery from Beirut. This work made a certain impact on the visitors, generating many new followers for this project.
Vika has a long history travelling and working in the Middle East. Her project 'Peace in the Middle East' played some role, connecting three worlds: Europe, Russia and the Middle East. Continuing this tradition of uniting people through art and music, Kova's sHe #4 has once again a peaceful and uniting awareness message in itself.
Highly regarded gallery 'Art On 56th' signes Kova's project 'Land of Good' for to be represented in Beirut, Lebanon. The execution of the multimedia art pieces and the message behind it, inspires the gallery to introduce Kova to the Middle Eastern world.

Great interview today for "Land of Good" project with CEO of one of the leading mega concerns in Russia. Being succesful as he is, he was open enough about female powers and how to mantain it within his company. I was also very lucky to be able to interview his wife, getting some valuable points of view on male/female imbalance within big companies and family lives in Russia. Great stuff!
